Latest Robotic Easter Egg Follows You Around and Can Explode

OSLO - Norway - Just when you thought it was safe to have some Easter egg fun, some robotics engineer has come up with a robotic Easter egg resembling a pod from the Alien movie, designed to creep along, change shape and follow you around.

“This Easter why not treat yourself to an egg that morphs into different shapes and once it tracks you down explodes embedding shrapnel everywhere. This technology will be replicated by the thousand. Imagine these things everywhere,” Kare Halvorsen, lead robotics designer of the Easter egg robot told Tech Wire magazine.

Naturally DARPA and other agencies want the prototype to weaponise it even further utilising strengthened steel and tracking upgrades, as well as installing gun turrets and explosives or discharging a deadly payload of nerve gas. Happy Easter!
